MAVCAP introduced its Outsource Partners Programme (OSP) in 2001 to further grow Malaysia’s VC industry. Under this scheme the Company allocates significant portions of funds to venture capital management companies, who in turn invest in high-growth firms.

OSP1 consisted of four VC funds valued at RM25 million each. As of June 30th, 2008 these partners, iSpring Venture Management Sdn Bhd, Photonics Venture Capital Sdn Bhd, DTA Ventures Management Sdn Bhd and Expedient Equity Sdn Bhd, have insofar invested in 39 companies, of which 19 were seed, start-ups and early stage companies.
OSP2 was launched in 2006 with a fund of RM200 million to sponsor as many as seven new partners. Under the first disbursement, MAVCAP provided RM80 million to three partners - Expedient Equity Two Sdn Bhd, Ethos Capital Sdn Bhd and DTA Venture Two Sdn Bhd. These venture management companies have invested in three entities as of June 30th, 2008.
The second batch of partners under OSP2 in July 2008 , RM 60 million has been allocated to Musharaka Venture Management Sdn Bhd., the nation's first designated Islamic venture fund and Teak Capital Sdn Bhd. Each of these partners received RM30 million.
Since the launch of the OSP, MAVCAP has succeeded in generating interest from many local and foreign institutional, corporate and individual investors to commit more than RM100 million in the Company-sponsored VC funds.
Under the OSP initiative, MAVCAP and its outsourced partners have trained and groomed about 40 venture capital professionals over the last six years.
